Honey Pie Hives & Herbals

Honey Pie Hives & Herbals keeps bees, grows herbals, and makes honey wine in Prince Edward County.  Our mead is a traditional wine made from honey, long ago considered the drink of Kings and Queens. Just as wine made from grapes has a terroir, or taste of place, from the soil the grapes are grown in, wine made from honey has the terroir of the flowers grown in a  specific region. Every batch of mead we make has a different flavour because of the different honey that our bees produce as the flowers change throughout the season.

We make all of our beeswax candles by hand here on our farm. All of our candles are made from 100% pure clean beeswax with cotton wicks. None of our candles have any added scent but emit the natural fragrance of beeswax. Beeswax candles burn longer, cleaner and brighter than paraffin.

Honey Pie Hives & Herbals also makes soap, lotions, lip balm, herbals blends, and of course, honey. We keep bees here on our farm in Prince Edward County, Ontario.  We have our beehives on other farms as well to pollinate a variety of crops.  Honey is different every time we harvest it because the variety of flowers is always changing.
