The Golf Studio is officially open for business and inviting you to celebrate on Saturday, October 14th between 10am and 3pm!

Come by 7 Paul Street on October 14th and join in the fun. Mark the launch of a unique new business in the heart of the County – a golf simulator!

Hit a few balls, enjoy refreshments and learn what the studio is all about!

We’re donating a toonie for every tee off to theROC Youth Services! theROC is dedicated to serving as a safe, positive environment where all Prince Edward County youth, regardless of circumstance, know they belong.

At the Golf Studio you’ll see how the automated system is convenient and easy to use, meet the founders and, if you’re a local avid golfer, see where you’ll be spending most of winter!

SENSES: Unveiling A New Sensory Garden for Kids & Kids-at-Heart at Base31

Join us Sunday, Oct 1 for the launch of our new Sensory Garden – a playspace at Base31 for kids & kids-at-heart! This permanent space, designed and built by Wild Child Regeneration, offers nature-based play in ways that heighten our many senses. On Oct 1, join us starting at 11am as we welcome the community to this new space with live music entertainers for kids, introductory speeches, scavenger hunts, crafts, and the unveiling of incredible artworks by local artist Portia Chapman. Light snacks will be served. This will be a rain or shine event, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

The free event takes place on Sunday, Oct. 1 from 11 am – 2 pm

Base31 Community Dig + Art Unveiling

Join Base31 for a free art unveiling and ‘Community Dig’ – an opportunity to discover new artworks, and to come with your shovel and dig up native wildflowers and grasses that Base31 isn’t able to relocate. Our front entrance berm will be dug up as we prepare to bring new water lines to the site and we hope to relocate all the native species that were planted this season. That’s where you come in!

Please bring your own shovel and pot, container or bag to take your transplant item(s) home. The areas to dig will be marked and there will be a check-in with plant identification and guidance. You must register to attend this free community event. Parking is available next to the office building at the Kingsley entrance.

Picton Town Hall Farmers’ Market

An eclectic outdoor market supporting local farmers’ and small businesses. The PTHFM is located at the oldest Town Hall in the County, where markets were hosted as far back as 1866, when it was built. The Town Hall remains a designated landmark under the Ontario heritages Act.

The County Marathon

The County Marathon – 20th annual race weekend will take place the weekend of October 1st. A Boston Qualifier this Marathon, Half Marathon and Ultra 50 K is recognized coast to coast as Canada’s largest small centre marathon and one of the very few point to point races.

Resgistration is at the Picton Arena 10 AM to 6 PM Saturday September 31st. Sunday October 1st races start at 8 AM for the Full and Ultra in Wellington and 10 AM at the corner of CR10 and CR18 (West Lake) for the Half
