What is an 'Experience'?

Experiences are those unique moments that turn into life-long memories. They create the stories you recant to family and friends because even Instagram couldn't capture it all. It's the connection you feel when you move from strangers to friends, that rush of learning something new, or warmth that comes with something nostalgic. They can tug at your heart, and firmly root you in place. Want to go beyond the tasting room or tour and dive deep into The County? These experiences help you get immersed in our local art, agriculture, food, beverage, nature and history.

"I felt nervous and excited about being up close and personal with the horses. Suzanne and Doreen were amazing guides helping us to connect at deeper and deeper levels with nature, the horses, and ourselves. I didn't realize how much my soul needed this session!"

Jaine L.

"Seeing everyone's pieces come together was my favourite part. It was such a treat to see how everyone interpreted the experience and how each participant's personality came through in their art. I felt like I had a lot of direction but also freedom to create something that was uniquely mine. The custom frame that you get to take home was an excellent addition."

Megan F.

"I had a beautiful day yesterday, like tonic for the pandemic soul. It started with a walk and forage at Honey Pie Hives and Herbals, with a cup of tea and a chat about the wonders of crystalized honey. And then a session filled with play as we made encaustic collages at the new Melt Studio + Gallery with encaustic artist Susan Wallis. It was magic. This is a new experience that Susan and Bay Woodyard and Tamara Segal are offering this summer and it's aptly named PAUSE."

Karen P.

"Wow! What a wonderful experience! The world would be a much better place if more people paused, connected to the natural world and created beauty through that connection."

Regina Quinn, Encaustic Artist & Instructor, Catskills Mountains

"I loved slowing down, being immersed in nature, learning about things that I walk past every day in my own lawn and how I can incorporate them into my life. I took home my own piece of art and so much more!"

Avery R.

"There was something magical there that felt like it needed to be underscored in these times. There's so much division and isolation right now that to really draw a fine point under how these gentle animals care for one another could really have an emotional impact."

Naomi S.

"Appreciated being hands-on with nature and such gentle, unique animals. Enjoyed the zen of walking, petting them. The peace of the farm. Overall, excellent emotional therapy."

George M.
