20+ Places for Pizza in Prince Edward County 🍕

Ask people to name their favourite foods and undoubtedly you’ll hear “pizza” come up more often than not. However, not just any pie will do. Here in The County we have lots of options – which means no matter what you’re looking for, you’re bound to find something you love.

Drink and Dine

At a certain point in every wine, beer or cider tour, a little sustenance is needed. If you’re looking to enjoy a meal with some local libations, you will not be disappointed. Whether it’s beer, wine, spirits or cider, pair it with some of The County’s excellent pizza choices.

555 Brewing Co [Picton] | Sit on their dog-friendly Main Street patio and enjoy some beer, wine or cider along with your wood-fired ‘za. The menu rotates every few weeks, with vegetarian and vegan options, so there’s a chance to try something new with each visit. And with the creative minds at 555, you know it’ll always be good!

Black Prince Winery [Picton] | “County Famous Wood Fired Pizza,” they say. And they mean it. Sample a glass of wine, taste a little vinegar from their cellar and stake out a spot on the patio for that personal pie.

County Cider Company [Waupoos] | With one of the most spectacular views in The County, you can sit down and take in Lake Ontario as you enjoy locally-crafted cider or wine and your wood-fired pizza, cooked outside in front of your eyes.

Hillier Creek Estates [Hillier] | Sit on their expansive patio overlooking the vines and take in the view of the creek while enjoying a glass of wine (or more) and artisan-style wood-fired pie.

Huff Estates [Bloomfield] | You’re bound to work up an appetite here with Oeno Gallery and their outdoor sculpture garden on site. Take a break to enjoy the restaurant and patio, which serves up authentic wood-fired pizza. Order your own or take just a slice (and glass of wine) to go as you wander the vineyards.

Norman Hardie Winery [Hillier] | Open early May to October, enjoy their wood-fired thin crust pizza with a glass of wine on the patio overlooking the vineyard. Their pizza recipe has been developed by top chefs from some of Toronto’s finest restaurants: Pizzeria Libretto, Terroni, and Ortolan.

Terracello Winery [Bloomfield] | Not just Italian in name, Terracello really brings Italy to The County. Thin crust, baked in their wood oven, and perfectly paired with their wine. Sample Italian music and Napoletana stylings, all while enjoying the beauty of the vineyards.

Three Dog Winery [Sophiasburgh] | Yoga, pizza and wine. A perfect County trifecta. Where else can you find your zen before filling up on amazing wine and wood-fired pizza? Bonus if you go on a day with live music too.

Midtown Brewery Company [Wellington] | Neopolitan ‘za pairs perfectly with one of #yourlocal brews from Midtown who added a wood-fired oven to their location this spring.

Take-Out and Delivery

Franco’s Pizza To Go [Rossmore] | Locally-sourced produce and dough hand-made on site help make this place a go-to for many residents. Nothing fancy, just good old-fashioned pizza.

Personal pizza? We won’t judge | Photo Courtesy: Stratos

Stratos [Consecon] | Take out and delivery options for those in Consecon. Tons of pizzas to choose from, and gluten-free crust is available for those who need it.

Metro [Picton] | Grab the basics and pick up a large pepperoni to take home while you’re at it. Pizzas are made to order, so beeline to the back of the store, put in your order and circle back to pick it up piping hot from the oven on your way to the checkout.

Picton Pizzeria [Picton] |Offering lots of family-friendly specials, featuring breadsticks and Caesar salads, this local favourite offers eat-in, pick-up or delivery options.

Pie Guy’s Pizzeria [Picton] | Pie Guy delivers in Picton and is open late, two things that are big deals in The County. Their product is top-notch (just check out the reviews) and there are gluten-free options too.

Prince Edward Pizza [Picton] | One of the original local pizza joints, Prince Edward Pizza is known amongst residents as having some of the best take-out. They also sell by the slice at lunch time. It’s cash only, so go prepared.

Pop-Ups

Geoff Heinricks at the Saturday Wellington Farmers’ Market. There are lots of options to keep you fed and fueled at the Wellington Market, but Geoff’s “stall” is well worth a stop. He’s built a little wood-fired cave and attached it to a trailer. From the time the market opens until well after the other vendors are packing up, Geoff and his trusty assistants are slinging pizzas topped with fresh, local ingredients.

Up in Smoke  is Prince Edward County’s original wood-fired pizza fire truck. Sniff out this magnificent 1984 Pierce Arrow at local events around The County.

Sit Down and Enjoy

Gus’ Family Restaurant [Picton] | This place has been around for years and remains a local favourite for families. While Gus is no longer with us, the great food – especially the pizza – still is.

Orchard Drive Dari Bar [Wellington] | A Wellington favourite, this is a great spot to enjoy pizza — and maybe a milkshake or ice cream or even deep-fried cheesecake for dessert.

Rock n Rogers [Wellington] | The local diner with a wealth of pizza options – you’ll find something for everyone. This place is a favourite in The County and offers lots of combos and set dinners for groups. You can also call in an order and pick-up a pizza for enjoying at home.

Waupoos Market, Pub & Eatery [Waupoos] | Located on the shores of Lake Ontario in beautiful Waupoos, the Pub & Eatery features local drinks and flatbread pizza, plus a patio on which to enjoy the views and the frequent cooling breeze.
